Dr. Eliott is the Director of Clinical Affairs of the Doheny Retina Institute and Professor of Ophthalmology at the Doheny Eye Institute and the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Eliott completed his residency at the Wilmer Ophthalmologic Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Baltimore, Maryland, and he received his vitreoretinal fellowship training at the Duke Eye Center, Duke University Medical Center, in Durham, North Carolina. He then served as the Chief Resident and vitreoretinal faculty member at the Duke Eye Center. Before joining the Doheny Eye Institute, Dr.
Eliott was the Director of the Retina Service and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Kresge Eye Institute of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Eliott is the principal investigator for several clinical trials, and he has numerous publications in ophthalmic journals and textbooks. Dr. Eliott has special interest in diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, complex retinal detachment, surgery for complex retina-vitreous disorders and ocular trauma.
